A Gift for the Mommies | Mommy and Me Mini Sessions | San Jose Family Photographer

With Mother’s Day approaching, I figured this would be something just perfect out there for a lot of mommies. And I have to say that this is something that is near and dear to my heart.

Getting mom in front of the camera. It can be difficult. We’ve got all the excuses in the world. My hair doesn’t look good. I didn’t do my makeup today. I’m just not photogenic. Or…they might be the one who is always behind the camera. This needs to change.

Moms NEED to get in front of the camera some times! Their children will want to see pictures of them with their mommy when they were little tykes. And many will CHERISH those images. I know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at old photos of me from when I was a kid…driving around my power wheels while my parents are watching in the background. Sitting in my dad’s lap with ginormous 1980 earphones on my tiny toddler head, listening to music. Snuggling with my mom on Christmas morning. Those photos mean a lot to me and I’m so glad to have them. I want to challenge all the moms out there to get in front of the camera. Take pictures with your children. Even with no makeup and your hair all a mess. Your children don’t see that messy hair…all they see is their beautiful mom that they love. So get in front of that camera!

With this being such a soft spot for me, I want to offer mommy and me mini sessions for all the mommies out there. These are sessions for moms and their children (sorry dads…maybe we’ll do something for Father’s Day!). I want you to have these photos to share with your children. And your children, I can almost guarantee, would love for you to have these photos too. But even if you are unable to do a portrait session, I still want all the moms out there to get in front of the camera and take pictures with their kids…even if it is a cell phone picture! Just be in the picture with the most important little loves of your life!
